Club Kids For a Cause

In March 2024, Krisha Keeran was struck by a driver under the influence while on a bike ride with her father, celebrating the completion of her final practice MCAT exam. She was airlifted to University of Iowa Health Care with life-threatening injuries, including a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures.

 

Thanks to the care of the SNICU team and her own resilience, Krisha continues to make a remarkable recovery, completing her senior year remotely and applying to medical school.

 

In honor of the exceptional care Krisha received throughout her recovery from the SNICU nurses, Club Kids for a Cause has established the Krisha Keeran Nurse Education Fund to benefit SNICU nurses at the University of Iowa Health Care who are pursuing advanced education.
